Introduction

This Volunteer Agreement is established between the Mdala Maria & Christopher Nascimento Foundation Tanzania, referred to as the Organization and [Volunteer Name] referred to as the Volunteer to clearly define the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of both parties involved.

2. Volunteer Role

The Volunteer agrees to undertake the following categories of tasks:

  • Office administration
  • Fieldwork
  • Marketing
  • Fundraising
  • Training and capacity building
  • Any other tasks as mutually agreed upon by both parties

3. Time Commitment

The Volunteer agrees to commit to …… hours per week for a duration of …… days. The specific schedule will be mutually agreed upon.

4. Training and Support

The Organization will provide the necessary training and support to the Volunteer, including:

  • An orientation session
  • Training on specific tasks
  • Ongoing support and supervision
  • Preparation of a farewell and graduation certificate upon completion of the volunteering period

5. Supervision

The Volunteer will report to [Supervisor Name], who will provide guidance and support throughout the volunteer period.

6. Expenses for your Volunteering Program in Tanzania

The volunteer is responsible for covering all expenses incurred during their time in Tanzania, including:

  • International and domestic travel costs
  • Meals and beverages
  • Personal clothing and related expenses
  • Accommodation
  • Any other relevant costs associated with the volunteer experience

Note: Volunteers are strongly advised to prepare an adequate budget to sustain themselves in Tanzania for the entire duration of their volunteering period. Our experts will provide guidance in preparing an accurate budget based on the local cost of living.

7. Health and Safety

The Organization is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all volunteers. The Volunteer agrees to adhere to the health and safety policies and procedures of the Organization.

8. Confidentiality

The Volunteer agrees to maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive information they may come across during their volunteer work. This includes, but is not limited to, personal information of beneficiaries, organizational plans, and financial information.

9. Code of Conduct

The volunteer agrees to:

  • Treat all beneficiaries, staff, and fellow volunteers with respect, dignity, and courtesy.
  • Comply with the organization’s policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Respect and adhere to Tanzania’s cultural standards and societal norms.
  • Maintain professionalism and uphold ethical conduct at all times.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement with ……. days’ notice. The Organization reserves the right to terminate the agreement immediately in cases of severe misconduct or breach of the terms by the volunteer.

11. Liability

The Organization will not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred by the Volunteer during the course of their volunteer work. The Volunteer agrees to indemnify the Organization against any claims arising from their actions.

12. Acknowledgment

By signing this agreement, the Volunteer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions outlined above.
